I'm on a mission to make Fiber arts accessible and affordable. That's why I've created this hackle, along with several other tools, for a drastically reduced cost using 3D Printing.
Please check out my other fiber arts tools here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/GoodandBasic?ref=profile_header

DESCRIPTION
This hackle kit includes the 3D printed hackle frame with a 7.5 inch working area, but none of the nails needed to complete it yourself. To be very clear, this kit will require assembly and does not arrive fully assembled.
The hackle is designed to fit 3.5 inch 16d, bright finish common nails such as those at this Amazon Affiliate link: https://amzn.to/3hjlTcM. Galvanized and vinyl nails do NOT work well with the PLA.
______________________________________
INSTRUCTIONS
Simply use a hammer to tap the 16d nails into the recessed side of the hackle, starting at one end and working your way down. The same assembly principles for the wool combs (see other listings) apply with the hackle.
The hackle can be secured to your work table either with clamps or by fastening bolts through the holes on each side.
I've made a video describing my design process that includes a brief demonstration: https://youtu.be/WuKnQ9XgzU8
